The tour leaders and students within the group(s) remain property of the sending educational partner and will not be approached directly or at source by Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol. In the same way we expect the educational partner not to have direct contact with Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol subsidiaries or suppliers. Booking must include all relevant information or special requirements appertaining to each student, i.e. any medical situation, allergies, special diet, level of Spanish, etc. Students must be in good health and have adequate medical and insurance cover.<\/p>\n<p>Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol reserves the right in the future to use photographic or audivisual materials, where the student appears as part of promotion and publicity for its programs.<\/p>\n<p>According to the program selected, Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol will send the specific application form which must be completed and sent back to Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol in order to confirm the booking. Please, check special conditions for each program:<\/p>\n<h3>Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol special conditions<\/h3>\n<p>The following general\u00a0<span class=\"il\">conditions<\/span>\u00a0apply to all of the courses, programs, and additional services offered by Spanish Educational Institute SL. However, these may vary occasionally and be modified by IEE, therefore we strongly advise that you read the\u00a0<span class=\"il\">conditions<\/span>\u00a0as published on our website for the most accurate and updated information.<\/p>\n<p>IEE guarantees that all programs, housing, and services described in the following page are accurate\u00a0and correct.<br \/>\u2022 IEE offers students the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities (cultural visits, entertainment, museums, etc.). Students will receive the details and prices of these activities with adequate<br \/>advance notice, and in some cases the activities will be free of charge.<br \/>\u2022 All payments for courses must be made in advance of the course\u2019s start date. In some cases students may make prior arrangements for monthly payments for long-term courses, and these payments<br \/>must be made before the end of the last day of each month. If these payments are not made, the student will not be permitted to attend the class.<br \/>\u2022 At times IEE will promote special offers, which cannot be combined with other promotions. No changes will be made to enrollments made before the start date of the offer.<br \/>\u2022 Group classes require a minimum of 3 students. If an exception is made and a course runs with less than 3 students, the number of classes will be reduced by 50%.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 No discounts or refunds will be given in the case of absences. If a student misses class due to illness and a doctor\u2019s visit, they must submit appropriate proof of the doctor\u2019s visit to IEE in order for the absence to be considered excusable.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Students must abide by the laws of Spain as well the policies of the school, including class schedules, class attendance, code of conduct, and positive behavior and cohabitation with teachers, class-<br \/>mates, and host families. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in expulsion from the program, and IEE will neither be held responsible nor provide a refund of any quantity.<br \/>\u2022 Students must respect all IEE property intended for student use, including furniture and technology. Any damage to the above mentioned will be the student\u2019s financial responsibility to repair or replace.<br \/>\u2022 Class schedules are subject to change, and IEE will place students in the class that best suits their level of Spanish.<br \/>\u2022 If a student\u2019s language level is not adequate for the course in which he\/she has enrolled, IEE reserves the right to change the student to a different course.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Students are expected to be punctual at the start of each class. Students that, for whatever reason, arrive at IEE after the start of class will not be permitted to enter until the break between classes.<br \/>\u2022 Classes are 50 minutes in length with the exception of special courses.<br \/>\u2022 Language placement tests will be held outside of scheduled class times.<br \/>\u2022 All students that attend classes at the school must bring a valid passport or ID.<br \/>\u2022 During class time, the use of cellphones or any other electronic device that disrupts the pace of the class is prohibited.<br \/>\u2022 It is completely prohibited by law to smoke inside the school.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\n<h3>Course credits<\/h3>\n<br \/>\u2022 At the end of the course, IEE will issue a certificate of completion to the student. This document is not valid as an official document in accordance with the law that regulates non accredited education.<br \/>\u2022 This certificate follows the guidelines established by the Cervantes Institute. It indicates the number of course hours completed, the dates of completion of the course, and the language level reached.<br \/>\u2022 Minimum attendance requirement: the certificate of completion will only be issued to those students who attend a minimum of 85% of the classes during the course.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\n<h3>National holidays<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">On national or local holidays classes will neither be rescheduled nor reimbursed, with the exception of private classes which may be rescheduled.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\n<h3>Cancellations and Refunds<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">Cancellations prior to arrival in Madrid are only considered official if the student has notified IEE in writing.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">Cancellations via phone are not considered valid.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\u00a0If, once the course has begun, the student needed to leave for reasons outside of his\/her control, IEE is not responsible for the cancellation or the fees associated with it. The student will be able to complete the unfinished portion of the course within a year of the cancellation. (Consult with IEE about what constitutes such a reason.)\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">If a student decides to postpone or discontinue his\/ her program for personal reasons, there will not be any reimbursement.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">IEE reserves the right to cancel any registration if the client does not comply with the agreed upon\u00a0<span class=\"il\">conditions<\/span>. Under no circumstances will it be permitted to begin a course without its full payment.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">Course payments should be completed no later than 3 weeks prior to the student\u2019s arrival. If the course is not paid in full by the deadline, IEE reserves the right to sell the student\u2019s place on the course.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">For cancellations made more than 2 weeks prior to the start date of the course, the student will be charged a 150\u20ac fee plus 5% of the total cost of the course.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">For cancellations made during the two weeks prior to the start date of the course, the student will be charged a 250\u20ac fee plus 10% of the total cost of the course.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">IEE will not reimburse any payments for the course once the course has begun.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">In case the student cannot or does not want to enroll in the reserved spot, down payments made for reservations will not be refunded for any reason.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">If IEE cannot enroll the student in the course he\/she has paid a deposit for, IEE will refund the amount paid for this booking.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 1.56em; font-weight: 600;\">Visa<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">Citizens of countries within the European Union do not need any type of visa to enter Spain.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">Citizens of countries outside of the European Union must find out the requirements to obtain a visa in the Spanish Consulate or Embassy of their home country.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">No refunds are given to students who have received a requested expedited visa invitation letter except in the case that the student is denied a visa. In this case, the student must send IEE the official documentation of the visa denial to be able to receive a reimbursement. If IEE does not receive this documentation, the student must pay all course fees.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">All reimbursements will have an administrative fee of 200\u20ac.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">The confirmation of payment letter will be valid for the duration of the course in which the student is enrolled.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">If an enrolled student no longer responds to communications with IEE after having received the invitation letter required to process the visa, the school will no longer be responsible for this student\u2019s enrollment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><b><b><\/b><\/b>\n<h3>Insurance<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">All students must have insurance with adequate medical coverage for the duration of their program dates. IEE is not responsible for students that are not sufficiently covered by their insurance.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">If the student does not have medical insurance, IEE offers an insurance that students can request before the beginning of the course. See the\u00a0<span class=\"il\">conditions<\/span>\u00a0on our website.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">IEE does not take any responsibility for injuries that occur at the school or in the housing provided.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">IEE is not responsible for accidents, personal injuries, or lost personal items during extracurricular activities.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">Students waive any claim against IEE for all of the above mentioned incidentals.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\n<h3>Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol special conditions Privacy Policy and Protection of personal data<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\u00a0According to the Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 regarding the protection of personal data, the participant\u2019s data sent by the same or his legal representative will be treated under the responsibility of Spanish Educative Institute SL in order to manage its Language Program. The legal basis for the treatment is contractual, so that when signing the contract the participant or his legal representative expressly considers the processing of their data, necessary for the effectiveness of the contracted program. Likewise, upon signing the contract, it expressly consents to the data necessary for the development of the Program being transferred to the companies or collaborating entities of Instituto Educativo involved in the Program. On the basis of the legitimate interest of Instituto Educativo, the participant or his legal representative may receive advertising and \/ or commercial communications from Instituto Educativo. At any time you can oppose the processing of your data for that purpose. Spanish Educative Institute SL is granted permission to use in the future all those photographic, audiovisual or other materials in which the participant appears, provided that there is no express opposition on the part of the same for promotion or publicity of their programs. The participant or its legal representative has the right to access, rectify, delete or port your personal data, and to limit or oppose their treatment under the\u00a0<span class=\"il\">terms<\/span>\u00a0established in the current legislation by writing to the Spanish Educative Institute.\u00a0<\/div>\n<h3>Summer camps special conditions<\/h3>\n<p>Upon receipt of the completed application form and full payment, Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol will confirm the booking to the educational partner. In all summer camps Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol reserves the right to offer a different date or destination, in case the chosen camp has either no free place left or has not reached the minimum number of students required.<\/p>\n<h3>High School program special conditions<\/h3>\n<p>Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol must receive the student&#8217;s last three years school reports, school history and valid passport (all officially translated and validated) before Easter Time in order to start the validation and enrollment procedures. Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol will not care any responsibility if the student enrolled by educational partner cannot prove at least an intermediate level of Spanish. Students must also prove a very good note average in general subject reports. The educational partner will receive the host family profile upon receipt of the full payment of the course. During Christmas Holidays the accommodation is not included, so students may spend their holidays at home and then come back to Spain when school starts again.<\/p>\n<h3>Work Experience program special conditions<\/h3>\n<p>Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol will not accept students without at least an intermediate level of Spanish and is not responsible if a student sent by educational partner with a lower level gets fired from the company because of that. Students are asked to carefully fill in the application form and attach their CV and a motivation letter. Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol reserves the right to place students in a work field according to the companies&#8217; availability and the student prior experiences or studies.<\/p>\n<h2>Ilegal Acts and Repatriation<\/h2>\n<p>It is illegal in Spain for any person to be involved in the possession, selling or taking drugs, shop-lifting, theft and for any person under the age of 18 years to buy or consume alcoholic beverages. These are offences and in many cases can be punished by terms of imprisonment. Should any student or group leader be found in possession of, selling or taking drugs, shop-lifting, stealing, or be involved in buying, selling or drinking of alcohol, making willful damage or behaving inappropriately, Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol reserves the right, after consultation with the educational partner, to arrange his immediate repatriation at the client&#8217;s personal expense, and without refund of fees.<\/p>\n<h2>Payment Terms, Conditions and Cancellations<\/h2>\n<p>Upon booking confirmation and receipt of deposit invoice, 15% deposit based in the total program cost and expected number of students is due. Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol can&#8217;y guarantee to maintain the booking request without the deposit payment. The total remaining balance is to be paid 1 month before the arrival of the students to Spain. All payments will have to be done via bank transfer to he account detailed on the invoices. Please note that all bank charges are the responsability of the agent.<\/p>\n<p>Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol would have the total permission to cancel the programme booked for objetives reasons from the school, refunding the student with the total cost of the course before the beginning of the programme. If the course has already started, It will be returned the remaining money.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">If a course is interrupted or stopped by the student once it has already begun, the school will not be able to refund any amount for the remaining classes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<h2>Late Payments<\/h2>\n<p>Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol reserves the right to cancel all arrangements and bookings without prior notice to the agent if these agreed conditions are not met. Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol regrets that under no circumstances will student groups or individual clients be allowed to commence any course if payment remains outstanding or unclear.<\/p>\n<h2>Cancellation policy<\/h2>\n<p>All cancellations should be communicated inmediately in written form to Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol. Between deposit payment and 30 days before arrival date, 15% of the total cost will be retained.<\/p>\n<p>Between 30 &#8211; 15 days before arrival date, 50% of the total cost will be retained.<\/p>\n<p>Between 15 &#8211; 0 days before arrival date, 100% of the total cost will be retained.<\/p>\n<h2>Reservations and Exceptions<\/h2>\n<p>Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol reserves the right to make operational changes in dates, locations, services and prices that may become necessary as a result of circumstances beyond the control of Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol. In these rare circumstances student groups will be given the option of transferring to other similar program\/location.<\/p>\n<h2>Visa Entry Services<\/h2>\n<p>All clients must be in possession of the valid entry documentation prior to leaving their departure point and entering the Spanish territory in order to attend Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol courses. Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol cannot admit any client arriving to Spain without the correct documentation (European Union citizens do not need a visa). If any client is returned to the country of origin, the full course fee will apply, together with any additional charges that may be made by the Spanish immigration authorities as a result of this action.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><b>In the case that the visa is approved:\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">The course may not be canceled, and no amount may be returned for either the course or the accommodation. As students have the obligation to attend the course, in the case that they do not attend, the school will inform the relevant authorities.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/div>\n<h2>Travel and medical insurance<\/h2>\n<p>This should be arranged in accordance with Spanish entry regulations. All clients must hold adequate cover, Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol cannot accept any liability or responsability for students or tour leaders who are inadequately covered. As an alternative, the insurance can be bought from Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n<h2>cesLiability and Complains<\/h2>\n<p>Any willful damage cost will be payable by the group leader or student concerned prior to departure from the program destination or against a carefully detailed invoice sent to the agent. Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol does not accept liability for fatal or other injury or illness of any participant, not for any damage or loss resulting therefore. All complaints or discrepancies must be communicated in written form within an acceptable period of 15 days from the date of the occurrence of the incidence.<\/p>\n<h2>Personal Data protection<\/h2>\n<p>According to the Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 regarding the protection of personal datarsonal Data, Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol SL. informs you that the personal data contained in the participation agreement will be included in a file for commercial and operational purposes, whose owner and responsible is Instituto Educativo Espa\u00f1ol SL. The acceptance of these Terms and Conditions constitutes your consent to perform such treatment, and for its use with those purposes.
